Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg (1833-1904), born in Draveil - France, was a student of Jean-Baptiste Durand-Brager and Eugène Isabey. He was influenced by the Barbizon school and mainly made landscapes, but also cityscapes and coastal views. He made some paintings in collaboration with Théophile Poilpot. From 1855 he exhibited regularly in the Paris Salon. Kuwasseg worked as an art professor.
