Maria Vos painted beautiful still lifes, often with vegetables, fruit and fish. In composition and lighting they are reminiscent of 17th-century Dutch showpiece still lifes. The way she was able to depict the different materials was clever: shiny copper, shiny onions and the silver skin of fish. In 1854 she settled in Oosterbeek together with the still life painter Adriana Haanen, where she made many sketches, drawings and watercolors of the Veluwe landscape. The painter is therefore considered to belong to the Oosterbeek School. She also made study trips along the Rhine and to Belgium and Paris.
Viewing is of course possible. We also have our own in-house frame shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. We also use restorers from the trade organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. The state only concerns the work. The frame is included, but damage to the frame will not be reimbursed. If you would like to use this, we would of course like to hear from you.
