The paintings of Lawrence Alma-Tadema, born on 8 January 1836 in the Netherlands and died on 25 June 1912 in Wiesbaden, were painted in the Victorian style and are characterised by attention to detail. Already during his lifetime, he was honoured for his craftsmanship, mainly in the United Kingdom, where he was knighted by England's Queen Victoria in 1899.
Viewing is of course possible. We also have our own in-house frame shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. The condition of the work concerns only the artwork, not the frame. We also use restorers from the trade association 'Restauratoren Nederland'. Should you wish to make use of them, please let us know.
