Van Horck signs his work with "vanhorck. This is to avoid confusion with his contemporary and visual artist Hans van Hoek. 'vanhorck', preferably written without a capital letter forms his trademark with which he has become known at home and abroad. In addition to exhibitions in many European cities, his work can be seen in San Francisco, Miami, Chicago, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Hans van Horck has lived and worked in Amersfoort since the end of the 20th century. His studio, which he shares with his wife Anita Duijf, is located on the top floor of Musiom in Amersfoort and is part of the museum.
