Oscar Moritz Ernst Leyden (1892–1969) was a Dutch painter and graphic artist. He was born in Amsterdam and was active in the first half of the 20th century. Leyden was known for his impressionist and expressionist paintings, often depicting cityscapes, landscapes, and interiors. He experimented with color and light to capture atmosphere and movement in his work. In addition to painting, he also created etchings and lithographs. His work was regularly exhibited and appreciated within the Dutch art scene. Despite his talent, he remained relatively unknown to the general public. Today, his works are still collected by admirers of impressionist and expressionist art.
