Hein Kever (1891-1973) was a Dutch painter and graphic artist, known for his expressive style and his work within the traditions of realism and expressionism. Born in Amsterdam, he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Kever was particularly active during the first half of the 20th century and painted portraits, cityscapes, and scenes of everyday life. His work is characterized by a strong emotional charge, often expressed through bold brushstrokes and vibrant use of color. In addition to painting, Hein Kever was also an illustrator and graphic designer. His work can be found in various Dutch museums and continues to influence contemporary artists.
