Born in 1946, Helen Nieuwendijk has developed into an artist whose work is distinguished by a vibrant fusion of figuration and abstraction. With an academic background in sociology at the University of Amsterdam, Helen found her true passion in the visual arts. Her artistic journey began in 1985 at Ruudt Wackers' art academy, followed by a post-academic deepening at the van Gogh studio under the guidance of Peter Schenk.
Expressive and colourful, Nieuwendijk's paintings excel at inviting the viewer's imagination and fantasy.
