Description
Jef Diederen (1920-2009), born in Heerlen, was a Dutch painter and graphic artist influenced by abstract expressionism. He settled in Amsterdam and became part of the Amsterdam Limburgers, incorporating his Limburg roots into a modern, abstract style. His works are characterized by expressive colors and forms, often inspired by nature and emotions. In addition to painting, he created etchings and lithographs and was active in the modernist movements of his time.
