Description
Jan van Anrooij (1901–1988) was a Dutch painter known for his Impressionist depictions of the Dutch landscape. He drew inspiration from nature and everyday rural life, capturing its essence through a loose brushstroke and vibrant use of light and color, hallmarks of the Impressionist style.
Van Anrooij often painted polder landscapes, winding paths, windmills, and serene waters, skillfully portraying the atmosphere of different seasons and weather conditions. His works have a poetic quality, exuding a soft, almost dreamlike aura where time seems to stand still.
