Description
Anton Labberton (1904-1987) was a Dutch painter known for his watercolors and abstract compositions. Born in Utrecht, he traveled extensively throughout Europe, capturing landscapes and cityscapes in his unique style. Labberton exhibited in cities such as Paris, various German cities, and Zurich, but it wasn't until 1980 that he held his first exhibition in the Netherlands. His work is characterized by unusual abstractions of light, color, and form, simplifying scenes to their essence while maintaining harmony. One of his notable works, "Scheveningen, View at Sea" (1948), is part of the collection at the Kröller-Müller Museum.
