Description
Ru van Rossem (1924-2007) was a Dutch sculptor, draftsman, and graphic artist from Amsterdam. He received his education at the Rijksinstituut voor Opleiding van Tekenleraren, where he was taught by the renowned graphic artist and painter Arend Hendriks (1901-1951). From the 1950s to the 1980s, he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg. As a sculptor, some of Van Rossem's well-known works include the Fountain (1991) for the Jeroen Boschtuin in 's-Hertogenbosch and St. George and the Dragon in the St. John's Cathedral in 's-Hertogenbosch.
