Henk de Looper (1931–1998) was a Dutch visual artist known for his contributions as a graphic artist, painter, etcher, draftsman, and drawing teacher. Born on July 29, 1931, in Maassluis, Netherlands, he pursued his education at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam. Throughout his career, de Looper emphasized the significance of light in his artwork, often incorporating geometric shapes like triangles and ellipses. In his later years, the oval shape became a symbol of light and spirituality in his pieces. He passed away on July 17, 1998, in Rotterdam.
