Uomo Stella, glass, 180 x 45 x 25 x cm, Silvio Vigliaturo was born in 1949 in Acri (Cosenza, Italy). As a child he moved to Chieri (Turin), where he currently lives and works. He is a master in melting glass and his technology is appreciated internationally and considered unique in his form by the most important critics of Italian and international art. Labeled as Homo Faber, his works are first designed, then interpreted and experienced by a constant symbiotic relationship between the mind and industriality, consciousness and craftsmanship, creativity and visual penetration. In 2006 it was chosen by the city of Turin as the only artistic sign for the Winter Olympics, the inauguration of the Maca - the Civic Contemporary Art Museum Silvio Vigliaturo.
