Albert Buikema (1949, Waddinxveen - 1994). He was a student at the Art Academy of Rotterdam and Utrecht. He also took lessons from H.J. Wijngaard. He painted and drew fairs, cityscapes, landscapes and ballerinas. After settling in Gorinchem, he increasingly painted landscapes in the Betuwe region.
