In his mixed-media works, the artist employs gentle brush strokes to break up the uniformity of hues and evoke an energetic and playful feeling. Throughout his career, Ballesteros has been celebrated for his engagement with abstraction and geometric forms. In 2015, he exhibited a solo exhibition at the Can Framis Museum in Barcelona.
